Sarah’s wish…
This story is about a girl named Sarah; Sarah was the happiest girl in the whole world. She had two great parents even though they didn’t have much money, but the important thing is that they were happy.
Sarah enjoyed playing in the park and in her sand box. One day without no reason Sarah didn’t feel well, so her parents took her into her room, her father gently put Sarah in her bead, meanwhile her mom was in the kitchen making some tea for her. Even with the tea and medicines, Sarah didn’t appear to feel better.
That’s when her parents started to worry, so they took her into the hospital, where the doctor were waiting for her, after a while in the E.R. the doctors finally stabilized little Sarah and took her into her room at the hospital. The first night at the hospital Sarah was fine, but no so great. The doctors ran some tests and they discovered that Sarah’s body was suffering from a serious disease, and that there was no cure. It was a matter of time before little Sarah’s life ended, and that the only thing that they could do was just make her feel comfortable.
Her parents couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Her mom started crying, she cried so bad and for so long that by the time she stopped crying Sarah was asleep. Sarah’s father read to her, her favorite book.
The book was about magical creatures in a wonderland were everyday was sunny and there were a lot of funny and loving friends.
The next morning Sarah was worst and she became to notice that there were threads of her beautiful hair in her pillow. Suddenly, she realized that her pain was not only hers, but also from her parents. After a month Sarah was completely without the most beautiful thing that she loved, her hair. That night Sarah was sad and without hope. Her father saw the pain in her eyes and said to her “don’t worry my little princess everything is going to be fine you will see”. Then he hugged her and gently started to sing a song “can you feel the love tonight” from her favorite movie called “The Lion King”. After that she fell asleep, but something strange happened that night, Sarah thought that she was dreaming but the thing was that she wasn’t. Suddenly she heard a noise but it was a very small noise, then she looked around but no one was there, not even her parents so sadly she went to sleep again, and while she was sleeping she prayed for a fairy to appear, eventually her little eyes went off, but inside she continued wishing.
Suddenly, in the middle of the night a tiny voice started to whisper “Sarah, Sarah wake up”, Sarah opened her eyes and saw what it appear to be a small person, smaller than her. She at first didn’t realize that her wish was granted because she was wishing it from the bottom of her little heart.
The fairy wasn’t what she imagined, instead the fairy was kind of an old woman, but the fairy told her that beauty wasn’t important, the important thing was what she believed, and because it was pure and it was from the bottom of his weak hart, that was what really matters.
The fairy looked at Sarah and with a gentle voice said, “ don’t worry my dear everything is going to be fine your suffering is about to end, you will see”. The fairy took out her magic wand, and touched Sarah’s tummy then she began touching Sarah’s head and finally she gently put some dust in Sarah’s entire body.
The fairy said, “You will see darling everything will be fine tomorrow, the only thing you need to do is just believe, and if you believe everything is possible”.
After a while Sarah felt sleepy but she reminded the fairy’s words and she started to see that her tummy didn’t hurt anymore, her hair went back to the place were it belonged.
At first her parents thought that it was a miracle, the doctors were speechless. That day Sarah went back home with a smile on her face her parents couldn’t believe the story about the fairy, but like the fairy said, “… just believe, and if you believe everything is possible” …
You know what I wish…
I wish that kids didn’t have to go through cancer, and if your son or daughter has cancer I wish fairies existed so they could save them from suffering.
I believe it from the bottom of my heart…
